The ideal candidate will have a strong desire and ability to learn new technologies, systems, and concepts.   In addition candidates will possess a strong background in server and network support in a Windows environment.  An understanding of routing and switching is required. Candidates selected for the position will be given extensive training and have the opportunity to learn and work with a wide range of technologies.

Required Skills

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems
• Experience with user and group administration using Active Directory/LDAP
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues
• LAN Routing and Switching experience (VLANs, IP Subnetting, dot1q trunks)
• Strong communication and documentation skills are a must
• Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
• Meet expectations regarding attendance and punctuality

Desired Skills

• Hands on experience managing data backups and restores with solutions such as Arcserve
• Administration experience with Exchange 2003/2007
• Hands on experience with server virtualization technologies like VMware Server/ESX or Microsoft Virtual Server
• Experience with Group Policy
• Ability to administer and configure IIS
• Experience with Linux/UNIX

Bonus Skills

• Scripting abilities with one or more of the following: Linux/UNIX Shells, VBScript, PowerShell, TCL, Expect
• Experience with Juniper/Netscreen, SonicWall, or Fortinet firewalls
• Juniper NSM
• TACACS+, LDAP, and Radius
• SolarWinds
• WebSense
• VMware vSphere/ESX
• iSCSI SANs (LeftHand)
• Load Balancers
